this was the last of the photos from our trip to amsterdam from almost 2 months ago! dang, time flies!
it was a chilly and overcast saturday afternoon but frank and i decided to take a stroll through the noordermarkt to check out the local goods. the scene was somewhat similar to our weekend mornings when we hit the farm market in our neighborhood, except that this market had an expanse of items you don't see too often: long farm tables filled with every variety of mushrooms, homemade cheeses, air filled with the scent of freshly baked bread, made to order pour-over coffee, fragrant baked goods and a vibrant array of local and foreign produce. we took some time to sample some items, but mostly enjoyed taking in the culture and beautiful surroundings. thanks amsterdam!
